I was a bit confused by all these 'Generation' labels, although I had heard about the 'Boomers' (WW2 ended, service personnel came home to rationing, power cuts and shortages .. what else was there to do ?)

Fortunately Wikipedia supplied me with a circuit diagram !! ;)

I'm really sorry, I didn't realise the post was directed at you! I thought it was just a general ramble!

Name calling is unacceptable.

Stafford Forum is an amazing place and no one should be made to feel uncomfortable or insulted.

There is a Chinese proverb which says...

'When two hippos are yaring don't stick your oar in'
(Google has no results but I swear it's in a book my mum owns!)

Perhaps I should heed this advice!!

Who are you calling a hippo? :heyhey:

Put up a security camera to monitor the doggos in the garden, last minute dash to Toolstation got me all I needed for conduit to stop them eating the cable. Tried to fit it, only to realise I'd tested the interior dimension of an inspection bend rather than the pipe that fits inside. The USB plug is 2mm too wide

Plastic pipe?

If so, you may be able to 'oval' it in stages and drag the plug through without surgery.

If you have a Workmate, you can do a couple of feet at a time.

Went for a bike ride earlier. Well, it was a 19 mile bike ride & a 2 mile 'push'!. I was heading back to Stafford from Penkridge along the canal & got a puncture in the back tyre just past Acton Trussell. I had a spare inner tube in my backpack so I stopped & changed it. Got to Radford Bank & noticed that the front tyre was going down, stopped to have a look at it & realised the back one was going down too! Three punctures in a couple of miles, I think it might to time to go tubeless!

Bad time to mention this is why you generally wanna use PoE outside?

With the mountain bike I always carry a small can of Tyreweld. Easily enough to do two tyres and then you can just short it out at home rather than spoiling a ride.

Handy for when Slime doesn't cut it.

It's a cheap wireless cam with a fixed USB power lead, I debated a proper run via the loft where I have spare poe capacity but didn't want to spend on the camera!

Should have been walking by the seaside this week. But with that cancelled , and hubby off work , had a lovely walk over the chase instead this morning.
Met some lovely people , everyone social distancing , and cyclists actually saying thank you as we stood to the side to let them past.

Much better experience than our last time over there on a lockdown weekend.

I've noticed a marked upturn in the number of polite cyclists on the Chase in the last 6 months or so.

I had a bike up to the chase one day last summer after not leaving central Stafford all year (I was busy with a deadline January-April) and I remember it like I'd remember a holiday, now. XD It was as close as I got in 2020.

I feel it's a little too far for me to go during lockdown but can't wait until I can again.
