Hmmm it was the Dr's surgery themselves that told me they can carry on with daily activity as long as they're not showing any symptoms. Which neither are. I still find it very strange.

it’s s crap system but they don’t officially become contacts until you’re actually tested positive!! If you prove positive then they should isolate (even though they can happily mingle with everyone until then.

The Sun has finally come out !!! For the last two days the cloud has been on the deck with a thin mizzle and mist. I blame the G7 summit, bloody clouds following all these politicians about. Still, it could have been worse, if Trump had still been in the job, I suspect the Sun would have buggered off to the other side of the Galaxy. :heyhey:

Having a spot of lunch outside Caffé Nero in Formby. Got me thinking, as I watch the world go by that when I first came to Formby 20 years ago on my way somewhere else, I thought to myself thank God Stafford isn't like this. Everything lacked class, many of the shops were shut and it didn't feel welcoming or particularly safe.

Now I find myself thinking, thank God Formby isn't like Stafford...

Yeah, but they really clog up the traffic.

Formby is gorgeous. My wife has requested another stay at the campsite there for her 50th so now prompted to book.

I'll wire The Doughnut to be prepared ..... should be able to bring a surveillance satellite overhead. Couple of Raptor drones also if it gets out of hand. :P

Had a very pleasant afternoon in Birmingham. 5 people old enough to know better on the train without a mask, had a moan to the lady sitting across from me about it and felt better.

Almost felt lost in Brum as I haven't been since Christmas 2019, and the work at Paradise Circus is almost complete. It wasn't too busy anywhere, although we just ate outside a restaurant at the back on Brindley Place, and I had time for to buy stuff I really don't need in Tiger before I came home.

Went mad this morning and ordered an electric pedal bike !!! I miss pedalling the Tarka Trail back when I had my old Volvo Estate which easily accommodated a bike in the back. No vehicle I've had since can do that, and I'm not keen on bike racks. So I opted for a Pedibal folding bike and went electric because although I've put on weight from under 9 stone to 11, with all this prostate bollox, (there's a joke there somewhere I think) I'm still a bit understrength. So I figure a few electrons flowing about might help. The Tarka Trail is built on an old railway line so it's reasonable on slopes, and it's one of the most scenic bike rides in the country.

Might have to sort out a helmet, I don't think a full face motorcycle helmet is going to be comfortable on a push bike (I never understood the term 'push' bike) and I've long since lost my bicycle helmet.

I'm taking a bit of a leap on this one, but .... f*** it, why not ? :teef:

We bought 3 electric bikes to sling on the back of the RV at the start of the year. Best thing we could have done. Gives you the chance to explore where you are, irrespective of fitness level whilst still getting exercise. Don't tell anyone but I've even ridden it into town a couple of times for meetings so as not to arrive all sweaty...

Youngest has had one for yonks. Reckons he puts a bit of effort into it at times. Gets him to work and back, says what more does he need?

As I was about to start mowing the lawn I saw this fellah basking in the Sun on the paving by the conservatory. Haven't a clue what it is, and in order not to disturb it I danced around a bit with the mower when I got to the grass near the paving. When the Sun passed behind the roof and it was in shade, there was still no movement. A bit of closer examination with gloved hands revealed he/she had croaked. Gave him/her a decent burial in the grass cuttings and then had to rub my back because of all the acrobatics I had to do with the lawn mower in order not to disturb a stiff !!!
