Me too. I usually avoid crowded places, always have where I could. I'll continue to wear a mask in shops and such if only for selfish reasons. A dose of COVID that gets through the double vaccination is likely to put me in the ground (for 'ground' read 'medical research.') with all the other things I've got going on. I've recently had a head scan which indicated skull vault metastases and the oncology team are going to talk to me after the next blood test in a couple of weeks.

Don't much like the sound of that. Still, I'm able to walk and pedal OK and planning a visit to family in Stourbridge at the end of the month and ordering another box of masks and raising the middle finger to the sky and anything that might be up there. :heyhey:

Some shouty bloke at the bottom of the garden is selling something for a quid, no idea 'what' he's selling.... And he's not the shouty-veg/meat man!

Yeah I'll be wearing my mask. Probably going to wear it in a few more situations where I'd normally judge I don't need to, to be honest (like out walking in non-crowded areas).

littleme, that's shocking about the delivery driver. I'd have complained. We get ASDA and more or less every driver has been masked up recently.

My first thought was that they were Blue Tits in terms of markings. I'm pretty sure @Gramaisc will put me right if not. It's just that the colouring seems a bit off. Were these two OK ? as far as you know. The one on the right doesn't look too good. :(

I don't usually have the shopping delivered, but as I'm stuck in the house and the husbands working 6 day weeks, it's been the only option. I thought at first I was maybe overreacting a bit, but the more I think about it the more I think this will be how things are turning out, a sort of us and them situation. This has been the only food shop driver that has hasnt worn a mask when delivering my shopping. But thinking about it, the Amazon, Hermes & takeaway delivery guys don't wear masks either..... I hadn't really noticed that before.

What was going on at 2am-ish last night? Being on a hill we hear a lot of sounds you wouldn’t normally (like the freight trains while being nowhere near the tracks)

At 2am there was a rather annoying humming sound coming from somewhere in Stafford, and it carried all the way to Kingston Hill. At first we thought it was our AC compressor being odd but that has a very distinctive sound, this was definitely coming from a distance.

Our Amazon driver does wear one (though they are female, so statistically more likely to I believe) so I guess it's a matter of personal choice.

Forget who said it on Twitter (might have been Dom Joly?) but there was a comment that this will become the new Remainer/Leaver divide and that it never ends.

They seemed ok to me. Happily bobbing about

Some years ago I had a blossom tree in my back garden and I stuck a bird box on it during the winter. A few weeks later a Blue Tit went to work on the entrance hole, for some reason he (or she) didn't like it. I named him von Manstein after the ruthlessly brilliant German General because of his perseverance. (Has to be a 'he' now due to my naming.)

He and his family were there through spring and summer and then disappeared, probably to invade the Crimea or Kharkov. Sadly, for some reason I've never figured out, the blossom tree died and is long gone.

I stupidly thought walking would be a good way of getting to the Dr's today for my weekly blood tests. It used to take around 10 minutes, today it took me just over 20 minutes, and resulted in solid coughing while I was there.

I think ill wear this get up next time....

That sounds a lot like plague, please retire to your bunker and remain, (ignore the sound of cement trucks arriving)

At least you managed to walk it. Will give you a time to beat for next week now.

Keep on trucking kidder. I was in for another hormone jab this morning (on top of the bloody pills.) Blood test next week for the Oncologist. It's like riding a bloody roller coaster with a lot of as yet undiscovered loose nuts in it. (And you're not supplied with a f****** spanner ...)

You too @BobClay, it can't be easy there on your own... Hoping you have people nearby that can help if needed.

I'm hoping to go back to work next week.... fingers crossed.
