Twice I've tried to call the dentist to book a check up this morning and twice I've been put on hold (without speaking to anyone) and then the phone has been hung up a minute or two later. Starting to wonder if I've been blacklisted! XD

It's taken a phone consultation with a GP from another surgery this morning, who then got in touch with my own GP who I saw about problem in the first place months ago, then a call back from other surgeries GP to say my GP now wants to see me in a face-to-face appointment. Now actually got a face-to-face appointment next week with my own GP . Yay !
Pity I couldn't go to the GP who rang me this morning all the time , he seems like he cares and gets things done!

Bought a new laptop and even managed to get everything up and running myself , Malwarebytes transferred to new one and printer connected (well, I think I've done everything right ...). Hard work concentrating with hubby blasting the TV with his horror films whilst going to sleep after his lunchtime wine, but waking up everytime I went to turn it down.

Son is on his way to stay the night and help set it up , so it will be just a matter of checking what I've done and doing stuff I didn't know I had to do. :D

A day out shopping in Merryhill with son planned for tomorrow. I did suggest that I could drive his car to save me feeling travel sick (as I'm on his insurance as well ) but that ain't going to happen. He might have to give in if I turn too green enroute

Blimey, your son must be very tolerant. The only thing I can imagine that is worse than spending the day out shopping with my wife, is spending the day out shopping with my mother.

It will be mostly him clothes and shoes shopping for a new wardrobe. He also needs to buy hubbys birthday pressie . But I suspect we will spend the day dining out as well :)

We had Fish and chips for tea tonight stood on the top harbour wall, finished them off then walked down to the lower Harbour wall. Stood and watched for dolphins while the family next to us stood and ate their fish & chips.

I remarked to the carer on how well behaved the seagulls are in New Quay compared to other places we've been as they hadn't attempted to snatch anyone's food..... The carer replied that it was cos no one was feeding them..... At that very moment the woman next to us decided to throw a chip to a gull stood near by...... That was it, a whole flock of the massive things appeared and attacked the blokes box of fish and chips, the woman screamed, the bloke tried to hit the gull, and the 2 kids ran off crying uncontrollably, fortunately the woman's and kids chips were safe as they were on a ledge lower down and only the blokes were on top of the wall...

We didn't help by my screaming 'oh my god its like hitchcocks film the birds', laughing our socks off and waving our arms wildly....

I've never seen a bloke look so cross, the poor lady kept saying 'I'm sorry, it was an accident, I dropped the chip' while also laughing, which made us laugh even more, as we know, and we're pretty sure the husband knew that she threw it on purpose!

.... I've still got tummy ache from laughing so much...

Brings back memories of my ice cream being snatched on Llandudno Pier. Watched that seagull in operation afterwards each day during our holiday. He sat on the lamp post next to the ice cream kiosk watching for his next victim, and did a well practiced swoop.

Llandudno was where I was on about them being so terrible, they attacked a poor kiddie in his pushchair for his chips... Poor thing would be traumatised for life!

For many complicated reasons, I am still limited to Fri/Sat/Sun at my nearest acceptable hostelry, and Fri and Sat were not meteorologically viable this weekend.

However, Sun turned out to be reasonable, so I headed out into the ever earlier sunset.

I have managed to return successfully, despite being led astray by various individuals.

Got up today to find money had been taken out of my account without authorisation... So we ended up leaving Wales sooner than we wanted to. Rushed back after finding info online that it's a scam and phoned the bank, thankfully within 15 mins the money was back in my account... Although they can't explain how they got my card details and managed to set up a direct debit without my permission.

The name to look out for on your Bank statements is BUYVIA. COM

In the pub last night, I got roped into putting some blinds up for a bloke I didn't know before.

I went and did the job tonight, with a sense of trepidation.

Blinds in window recesses can be hugely difficult things to do, but all went fairly well.

However, it was like being in an episode of Father Ted, with a special guest appearance by Grizzly Adams.

It's about eight miles away and all I had was his vague description of the house - but, I guessed right first time.

I will have three more windows to do, when 'Mrs Doyle' has got the blinds for them...
