Oh well , that's the spagbol & wine on the patio plan scuppered yet again. Blowing straight at our patio yet again :(

Words needs to be had I think. There is no reason why that amount of smoke needs to be produced.

For sure, that’s not a normal amount of smoke for a BBQ

We have a house behind and 2 along from us, which we’ve dubbed “the football hooligan house” (and other names that will be censored here) as they’re a rowdy bunch who get ratfaced every time the footy is on, and like lighting small fires to sit around right at the end of their rather small garden, right next to our neighbour’s hedgerow. Not only does it stink up the neighbourhood but it’s asking to have something go up...

The thing I've noticed about people not having paid for their brown bin collected is that they are burning lots of stuff. Not affected me yet, although the 'accelerant' or whatever it was that was put on the neighbours bbq today played havoc in my nose/sinus.

Thankfully no clouds of smoke yet...

Sometimes our other neighbours had a BBQ , but theirs would only occasionally smoke slightly for a couple of minutes at most ( nothing to bother us ) when it first started up and then calm down.

This one goes on for a couple of hours like that and worse!

Unfortunately the nice lady who used to own it , sold up a few years ago to a buy to let buyer. These tenants moved in and looks like they are here to stay.

If we come to sell after our 40 yrs here , will have to make sure viewings are early morning ..

Don't often get to watch what I want on telly , but with hubby dozed off after a few beers, was enjoying a recorded program.

Nipped out to the bin while the last lot of adverts was on......came back in to find he'd woken up and immediately deleted it. :ohno:

Why does the recent building development on the Tixall Road look like a prison when viewed from the river?

Just bought my first ever 'concession 65+ ' ticket for tomorrows trip out. Felt guilty doing it , I don't look that old as well as finding it hard to believe myself that I really am that old. This age thing is getting scary ! :o
Going to have to take my passport along now as proof.

Another first today ....drove through my first ever drive through . (If it had been up to me I'd have parked up and gone inside to order over the counter like I've always done . But hubby insisted we gave it a go ) .

Lovely morning out at Trentham Monkey Forest , followed by the retail village. Didn't need my passport to prove my age after all, I reckon they assumed balding , grey haired hubby (who's younger than me) was the 'oldie' on the concession part of the 2 tickets .

Decided to treat ourselves and splash out on some food for a change whilst there. Had the most tastiest Hot Beef baguette ever , loads of beef with piles of extra onions, apple sauce, stuffing and gravy piled on top. Good job I could sit down at a table and eat it like a meal with a knife and fork , it was piled so high. Followed by the 'special' hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. :D

Even enjoyed the journey there and back , doing the scenic route through Weston and Sandon for a change.

Good job we'd bought the tickets for today instead of tomorrow, as arrived home to a text message inviting hubby for his 2nd AstraZeneca earlier than expected...tomorrow :)

Should have been on holiday in Poole this week , but worked out well not going with both our vaccinations falling on 2 of the days during the week, and so far our local days out have been really enjoyable .

Christ this is hilarious. Alleged footage of a black man attacking an NYPD officer with acting that would put Sunset Beach to shame.

Nope, while I feel like utter crap, I don't think it's worth bothering the gp at this 'covid' time.

It would likely be a phone appointment lasting all of 5 minutes and ending in a prescription of Fexofenadine for you to pick up, and put on repeat with the odd 5 minute renewal phone call. I’m sure they’d appreciate an easy appointment frankly.

Talking to your GP when you feel crap is entirely why they’re there, and they get money for having you registered there whether you use them or not so you might as well use them.
