Hope it was a lovely evening.
Happy anniversary, somewhat belatedly.
Thanks , had a great night. :)

Needed to keep the cider flowing to kill the pain of my strong hand sanitiser on my massive blisters .

Had treated ourselves to 14 new bushes for the garden yesterday . I'd spent all afternoon planting them with a trowel , in what was like concrete as the ground was so rock hard, the fork and spade wouldn't go through. (Luckily I stopped hubby hacking away at it with the fork as I discovered we have a cable running a few inches under the ground ). Got them all planted in the end, but result.... garden looking good , but palms of my hands now sporting massive blisters !

Got to see my parents and my favourite aunty in their own house for the first time on over a year today.... Eldest son & d-i-l also came along, and a total of 4 doggos*...... Heaven.... Although my dad is quite ill (which is why they are back in Stafford) Great day, but also worried....

*including Bobby Robson who is absolutely beautiful! (5month Springer puppy).

Tried to put a TV bracket up, 2 of the 4 holes collapsed. All other walls have been fine but the chimney breast just fell apart. Went from 10mm plugs to 14mm anchor bolts with only having to re-drill 1 hole! Still only got 3 out of 4 in, if I touch the other much more I'll lose bricks :ohno:

Got up early to move sons car so that hubby could get out for work (any excuse to drive it, I love his car) , so gave it it's usual wash and valet service while it's here. I enjoy doing it and seeing the nice shiny results, and he doesn't . He enjoys sorting anything computer and phone related for us while he's here , which we are quite hopeless at, so win win all round. :)

Messaged hubby to see if he fancied dining out when he gets back from work tonight , before son goes home . One word answer 'No'.

So me and son have just enjoyed a lovely pub lunch .......sent hubby photos to show him what he was missing out on

Only had soft drinks as sons driving home later , but really enjoyed our spur of the moment trip out :)

Where did you go?
Only up the Wildwood , but enjoyed it.
Hubby came home in a right mood though , so spoilt the nice couple of days we were having and son has gone home earlier than intended with hubby acting like a prat as soon as he stepped through the door . :(

Edited....watching Corrie and heard the front door open. Panic stations thinking intruders.... it was son walking back in with a chippie for us . He'd gone to the gym back in Worcester, got his work clothes ready and then driven all the way back to spend a few hours with us .

Now having a less stressful evening :)

The pub car park was filling up as I arrived tonight.

Having no functioning rear lights, it was left in the yard overnight, but I wasn't blocked in and managed to get past it on the way out.

There was a section of road on the way there that I had intended to record tonight, but I felt it reasonable to abandon the attempt, as half a dozen teenagers were sitting in the middle of the road, with a few cans and some sort of music-playing device.- it seemed reasonable to wend my way through them and carry on...

I'm in Stourbridge after a nightmare journey up the M5 yesterday

Three hours in hospital having my head examined (I shit you not) to be told neurologically I'm in the clear then I set out from Bideford hospital at 1330hours. Took me 5 hours to get to Stourbridge. M5 absolutely logjammed .. stop start all the way up. Girl in the satnav kept saying: "M5 traffic moving slow. Traffic jam ahead."
To which I eventually started shouting at her: "I F****** KNOW, I F****** KNOW ... I'M IN THE JAM ... SHUT THE F*** UP !!!" but she didn't take a blind bit of notice.
