Glad to hear of the good news RE the examination, BobClay.

I cycled through Sainsbury's carpark earlier and someone had collapsed at the boot of their car, whilst loading shopping away from the looks of it. Somebody was performing CPR and another was calling for an ambulance. They looked in a bad way, totally unresponsive, it was pretty upsetting even for a stranger passing to be honest so I can't imagine what the people with them must have been going through. I didn't hang around so as to not crowd so didn't see what happened but I hope they're OK.

Went to M&S for the first time in a few months, it was packed, no one was wearing masks or social distancing.

There was a lot of huffing, tutting, and moaning about a poor little girl who couldn't stop coughing, I really felt for her parents.

Sometimes people can be horrid.

I'm in Stourbridge after a nightmare journey up the M5 yesterday

Three hours in hospital having my head examined (I shit you not) to be told neurologically I'm in the clear then I set out from Bideford hospital at 1330hours. Took me 5 hours to get to Stourbridge. M5 absolutely logjammed .. stop start all the way up. Girl in the satnav kept saying: "M5 traffic moving slow. Traffic jam ahead."
To which I eventually started shouting at her: "I F****** KNOW, I F****** KNOW ... I'M IN THE JAM ... SHUT THE F*** UP !!!" but she didn't take a blind bit of notice.

I am sure that the whole Forum is pleased, and not at all surprised, that a highly trained team spent several hours examining your head and found nothing of consequence therein.

It being a bank holiday weekend here, I hadn't intended to venture out tonight, but, in the end, I did.

I discovered that some kind individual had dragged a large trailer along the dual carriageway, as evidenced by the straw deposited along the verges.

This has had the beneficial effect of folding the trouser-grabbing brambles back into the hedge.

We had a relatively traffic jam free journey going the opposite direction en route to Thruxton for the Superbikes and then a pleasant afternoon in the sunshine watching the racing.

Currently enjoying the peace and quiet on the outskirts of Tilehurst on an emergency cat sitting mission for Gurly. Came down after work on Friday and been really chilled.

I'll be heading home tomorrow. A 0400 hours start so should be a better run. We've had Christmas dinner yesterday after missing it during the lockdown and it was excellent !! ... Nice to see family again after a year and a half. Another advantage of having Christmas in July was when driving home tomorrow I'll be in daylight for most of the way down.
How often when you finish your Christmas dinner you can go out and sit in the garden afterward to enjoy the sunshine ? (Ozzy style.):)

When son drove back down the M5 in the early hours the other night , the M5 was closed overnight completely southbound between Jct 3- Jct4 for what I assume was roadworks . (He didn't have his sat nav on , and following the diversion signs , the official diversion route took him down some right pain in the @rse lanes)

Going out for Sunday Lunch with friends. Getting myself in a bit of a tiswas now....always sounds a good idea at the time of saying yes we'll go, then get myself in such a panic about going !

Taking 3 days off for anniversary and other stuff the week of the 9th… we’d been hoping to go to Dudley Zoo but the weather isn’t exactly showing much promise

Did someone forget to tell the weather that it’s august…?
