Yes, I am thinking of buying a Roller, a Jetstream aircraft and having an Olympic sized swimming pool installed in the south wing of the house ... (formerly known as the spare bedroom.)
It isn't all sweetness you know, I keep getting pestering phone calls from Elon Musk and Bill Gates trying to borrow money.

:P

Do you actually have to claim the pension now? I thought it was automatic (once they’ve confirmed you qualify) but you would have to give bank details etc to get it paid. You only had to inform them if you wanted to defer it. (Unless they’ve changed it again.)
Yes they send you a form to claim a few months before. Have to fill in all sorts like date you got married, spouses date of birth as well as bank details. Then says they get in touch again with details of what you will be paid , and when , within 14 days of pension starting.

Look on the 'bright' side, there was a time when you would have been elderly six years ago...

It must have changed. OH gets hers in January also & didn’t have to do any of that just bank details. Thinking about it , she uses the HMRC online gateway account though & they’ve probably already got all that info

Oooh really? :D

Although mine won't start til January (although think first payment is in arrears in Feb ??? )

Although I don't catch buses ....do you normally have to apply somewhere for a bus pass at 66 as well ?
You’ll miss out on the £200 winter fuel payment & the £10 bonus this year so you’ll have to turn the thermostat down till next winter :lorks:
Apply for the bus pass online at SCC:

Looking forwards to it next year then , hopefully won't have been scrapped by then!

Hubby has just said to tell Boris we need it now then , the way I'm always feeling cold and banging the heating on.
Waiting to drop them off for their match , then the house will be nice and cosy with the fire on once I get back in :D

I went shopping in Sainsbury's with the intention of only doing an essential shop.

Anyway I underestimated the capacity of my backpack and as a result some of my new found goodies decided to make a break for it by the old Argos.

Two young ladies stopped to help me repack and then one went into home and bargain to get a carrier bag.

It was quite refreshing that they actually bothered to stop to help and then bothered to extend the assistance to get the additional bag.

Thank you whoever you were.
