Popped in about half an hour ago after a table for two, nothing free til 9:30. I accepted, I suspect they are safe from closing for a while!
did you tell them that stafford forum was on the brink of meltdown at the (thankfully incorrect) mere suggestion of their closure? :v:

from another thread:

We've still not tried Narvana yet, had a takeaway from Mela Lounge last month....they asked us if we could collect cos they didn't want to deliver :( food was ok when it came, good sized portions with plenty of meat - but I found it a bit bland which is a shame :(
you really, really need to try narvana.. exactly as tek-monkey said in the other thread, it is the benchmark by which all other indians are set.. every single time we have a curry elsewhere (which is inevitably because someone else is making the decision, and isn't aware of narvana) we always, without exception, end up going "well, that was nice enough, but it wasn't as good as narvana!"

if, like me, you're not a big fan of rice, i can highly recommend the hyperabadi.. has new potatoes in it, so the whole thing is a meal within itself - no need for rice, and it's absolutely gorgeous

we had one last night - they certainly had no problem delivering.. even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine :)

I will reply here rather than the other thread, as not to derail it. Littleme, you need to try narvana! Don't get me wrong, I do know some people that have tried it but prefer spice island, but the vast majority go back. Often. When my takeaway arrived last night I tried to enjoy it, but I knew it could be better. I was just wanting to give other people a chance, not wanting to get 'stuck in a rut' so to speak. But I don't have takeaways often, I should go for what I really like.

If you can then eat in, the food is even nicer served fresh and you can take your own booze. It really is the best curry house I know of at present.

I promise it'll be the next curry we have! We probably only have takeaway once a month at the most, so I like to make it count.

Hyperabadi sounds good, I like rice but I'm trying to cut out carbs and new potatoes are the only ones allowed :)

Can't wait now....

I would recommend eating in rather than takeaway. Whilst the takeaways are good the restaurant food tastes so much better and the service is brilliant.

Agreed, eat in if at all possible. Book in advance though!

Edit: I also rarely get to eat a takeaway, and this one really counts!

I have to say went Narvana last night with a friend, and service and standard of food was excellent as always, we have never had a bad meal in there and the staff are always friendly, I really can not speak highly enough of the place

Group of 8 of us went in on Saturday night. Couldn't fault it one bit. Service was fast and efficient and food was absolutely delicious. 10/10

I agree 100%
Have visited on 4 separate occasions with different people now and can not fault the service or the food.
Last week we went as a family and took a 2 year old with us and they were fantastic with him also.

Great place.

I know I always rave about the place, but yeah never had a bad meal. The worst I've ever had was a takeaway I got delivered, which was below par for Narvana but still better than any other I've had so.....

I can certainly recommend the modu lamb, the lamb tawa, the chicken hyberabadi(?) and the garlic chilli chicken :D
