I always try my best you use local people. I’m looking for someone to put in an extra telephone socket. Can’t find anyone on Google. Any recommendations please? Thanks so much.

I don't know, dude.

PM one of the cabal - ask one of them to ask the same question.

Get just one of them to start a new thread like this and you'll have a dozen answers by dawn.

It isn't that difficult and there's lots of info available on the Internet.

How To install a telephone extension on a BT Openreach NTE5C Master socket - Bing video

That Master socket is quite an improvement on the ones I fitted with BT, as you don't require an IDC insertion tool (known as a 'bonja') although the extension socket would require one (you can use a small screwdriver but you need to be careful.)

However I'd agree with @stoofer34, a base phone and cordless is a much easier solution.

The Father in law years ago used a plug in thing to the main socket, and lots of cable over the house to several extentions.

Bob, to say it was a bit Heath Robinson is no exageration, thing is, F-I-L actually worked for BT. He was a driving instructor, not an engineer tho.

Thanks everyone. A friend helped out. It was a bit of a complicated circuit involving old BT boxes and NTL boxes and ladders too lol so I wouldn’t have managed to do it myself I don’t think. But thanks for the guidance.
