Ahhh I'm thinking back to happier days when pubs were pubs and shops were shops and never the twain .... (blah blah.)
OK I know the building in question didn't quite make it to these pix, and I can't remember what was there in 1978.

(By the way, I think that's a Mark 4 ACME crane built by Coyote Enterprises. :P)

I'm pretty sure it's actually the Mark 5. The operator's seat was more basic without the armrests on the mark 4.
P. S. Skelding & Boucher??

I wonder if Express Curtains have put a similar objection into 'The Ship Aground' that has applied to go opposite them

It's a 2cv. The knobheadwankstainwasteofspacetosspot that my sister dumped a couple of years ago, had 2 at the farm where she lives and another 3 in a brick shed somewhere else.

No, the thump he threatened give her was the straw that broke the camels back. That and the fact that he cheated on her a few times too.

So Couture think it's off licenses that cause problem drinking (already one opposite this one, that sells much cheaper booze) and the curtain shop are contesting because they think their car parking spaces will get blocked (everything else they say is basically because they have Casa opposite).p2

I think the curtain shop have very minor grounds for a complaint, based on the barrels left outside, which is easily solved. Everything else is basically horse manure, no way the council will block it unless a brown envelope has changed hands.
