Wasn't the shrew a mexican briefly, possibly last millenium?
I think it was around 2000ish - I don't think I even saw it, it seemed to last more like weeks than months.
Definitely. The more variety in restaurant food choices the better as we already have more than enough Indian restaurants and Chinese (takeaways) in my opinion.
I would recommend doing some form of takeaway/ delivery as well as I think this has become the norm for many during lockdown and I think will continue until people get confidence to start eating out again.
It was Muchchaos in there after that until Black Country ales took over from what I saw on the odd occasions that I went in there
I know, there have been other attempts too - but that was the past, I don't think there's anywhere in town I could really get a burrito easily, this makes me sad.
As well as Peri Peri chicken etc. Chicos on Foregate Street do an absolutely superb burrito.
They also have the world's faultiest card machine, seems like the cash only sign has been up since they opened!
In which case they will never get my business as cash is a thing of the past now as far as I'm concerned.
They may have had to 'fix' it during covid, but anywhere that desperate to only receive cash always screams dodgy to me!
Yes! I would!
Also, can we have a propper 'Mexican'? (Not Tex-mex)
And a Mongolian restaurant while we're at it....
It's a bit of a trek if I'm out and about in town (I know it's not really, but it didn't feel very easy as a grab and go lunch place). If be very happy with a branch of Bar Burrito (https://www.barburrito.co.uk/) or similar in the center.
I was discussing this with my friend the other day and she'd like a decent Sushi place.
Unfortunately I think Stafford is a greggs & wetherspoons kinda town, I'm hoping a few people branched out a little during lockdown but I'm not betting on it
Yes, thanks, and that proves what a mess can be made with a can or two of red paint.
I think t was Muchachos from 2000 to 2002 then Debbie ( previously Rose and Crown, now Oxleathers ) had it for many years from 2005.
There was a mexican near the old cinema at one point. Potentially where Narvana is now.
As for a Greek, yes please.
I thought there was a Mexican there for a little while afterwards, or was it in the place on the corner of Woodings Yard?
Mexican food doesn't seem to fare well it seems!
There was I remember that - but that would have been early 2000's
