Saw them putting up new "For Sale" signs earlier.

I didn't quite clock what it says, but I'm sure it said something about possible retail development site? which would be bit of a departure from the housing that was previously proposed.

It's been 4 years since the last interested party pulled out. Developers like greenfield sites.

'Baswich Park' talk about spin. Pitty it carnt be made into a 'Park'

After all the build up from Mr Ellis to this announcement, I thought he must have sold the Site.

They may get more interest from developers this time as the communications mast has been moved. Maybe the EDR will be back on the agenda soon or they will suggest widening the unofficial EDR (Baswich Lane!!)

I'm no expert but the site has been up for sale for years. Surely some wooden "For Sale" signs aren't going to increase interest?

I mean a multi million pound development company isn't surely going to have someone crawl past in Stafford's traffic and think.... oh I didnt know this place was up for sale... think I'll put an offer in. ...

No but it makes it look like Ellis is doing something.

Baswich Park, sounds lovely.
They could have had a big old great looking building, perhaps call it Baswich House where people could have had a bite to eat and a meet-up, before going around the grounds of Baswich Park and feeling at one with nature.
A great green area where people could wonder and wander all at the same time, away from everything retaily.
