New Takeaway Opening - Dylan's Takeaway

The old Electrical Shop opposite Subway (edited for clarity) is turning into a Takeaway - it looks fairly close to opening but not sure what cuisine it has in mind...

I'm sure we can sneak a kilo thread in when he's not looking.

Was it called Pickford's after Wardstaff went? I have no idea what its name was then, even though I went in a good few times.

He used to come and join me and my mates dancing around our handbags as well. A great character and my main memory of 'The Grot'.

Forgot all about Pickups being there, I don't often walk up Mill Bank. Bought a fridge from there years ago and it was a great service, they brought it to our house that afternoon.

Well .... assumedly we do need them .... else they'd be all closing down due to lack of custom ?

It's not my preference or first choice, but clearly there must be a lot of custom going around.

I thought we weren't allowed mega threads anymore?
Thank you, @Wormella.

I'm sure we can sneak a kilo thread in when he's not looking.

Whether you can and whether you should are two different things, and you should know better!

I have moved the OT posts from the other thread to this one (which unfortunately makes it look as if you have no longer started the thread, @Wormella; apologies)

A friend of mine has "just had a pot of (piping hot!) sweet potato and lentil soup with lime and coriander from this place. (Opposite The Grapes.) With a side of focaccio as standard. For £2! And you get a bag with that."

They also, apparently "do things with halloumi and quinoa, pine nuts and couscous and falafel" - Whatever any of that is...

The Daytime Menu runs from 7am to 3pm.
