Errrr, no, I've never missed a day at work? Last time they changed my rota without letting me know, (app was also down then)... They phoned and I made it in within the hour and stayed an hour extra. This time as its again their mistake I get the day off, on what was actually my day off.

They need to get the Kronos app back to working properly, as we have so many shift changes so often. I'm annoyed as I've lost a day's overtime which I could have done with having. Grrr....
Maybe I’m thinking of someone else then, getting asked where you are because you weren’t told that you were booked in for a day you definitely have off seems to be a common issue

It was a dig at your employer not you btw, the fact that you ran in within the hour instead of putting your foot down as it’s their feck up is far more than they deserve really

It's a daft system really, most of us are part time workers, but manage to double our hours by doing overtime. Our contracted hours are on the Kronos app, we're asked most weeks if we would like overtime, this is recorded on paper (we have to sign to say yes or no) which is the added on to Kronos, usually the week before. Managers have been known to change peoples shifts without telling them, and without access to Kronos its virtually impossible to keep track as it often changes daily.

*Kronos has apparently been hacked and has been offline for weeks now.

Anyhow, back to work today..... On my day off again!

Move more!

When I was teaching I was on my feet all day and never stopped - now I work from home and sit on my arse all day.

We did a 10 mile walk and my legs nearly fell off - which shows my fitness has gone downhill (on the uphill!)

We could both do with eating better and drinking less - with my birthday at the end of November it always turns into a 6 week birthday / Christmas junk fest!

Started off well yesterday with our walk from Portsoy to Sandend!

It’s that time again…….

Mine are the same as last year

Fitness and weigh loss went in the wrong direction in 2022 I have no excuse other than life got busy and I love carbs 🤦🏻‍♀️ My goal this year is to focus more on my health, new Fitbit is being delivered today and I’m kickstarting with dry January.

As if Iife wasn’t crazy enough with kids and a full time job, football games and practice and a business on the side…..I decided last year that I was finally going to get the degree (albeit in a totally different topic than the one I was going to do originally) that I should have got almost 20 years ago, it’s a lot but I’m getting through the work (one term down 7 more to go 😬) so that is going to be a big focus too!

Also the veg garden too which is getting easier with experience, we had fab cucumbers and sweet corn last year despite the tough conditions, this year will be all about trying to get the brassicas to survive till they’re ready to eat.

I'm just aiming to get myself back to fitness again. Put on over a stone since moving here as so many places to try out to eat and drink.
My previous 2-3 hours daily fast walking in Stafford has changed to hubbys slower pace for shorter walks in the local woodland.
I made a bit of a start today rather than wait til New years day. Found myself out of breath walking out on my own at a faster pace on just a 2 mile flatish walk , and it was no-where near the pace I used to do naturally for hours involving steep hills. Rather scary how unfit I've become!

So the plan is...
Cutting things down ( still got lots of goodies to get through) ,
Doing more my pace walking on my own, then short slower walk in hubby lunch break.
Still go out to the pub occasionally, lifes too short not to enjoy ourselves , but not knock so many back........

And one resolution I will definitely struggle with....not go up like a bottle of pop so much and stop being a nagging wife. :D
