A few posts under my belt
Hello,
Apologies- I didn’t see this thread before posting elsewhere and causing a ruckus! I’m already off on the wrong foot with Glam and Mudgie (genuinely sorry, guys as that wasn’t my intention).

Rudie111 kindly shared the link to this thread for me.

My name is Sally and I moved to Stafford about 2 months before we went into lockdown- so I haven’t seen much of it yet! I moved because I loved the town when I’d visited previously and liked the idea of being near to Cannock Chase.

Now that restrictions are lifting, I’ve joined here to look for places to visit, things to do and places to eat. A woman I work with recommended joining here.

Hope everybody is well and has a good day ☺️

Welcome Sally,

How are you finding Stafford?

Thank you!

Well, aside from spending my first few months locked in my house and working from home in a job I’ve only recently started, it’s been great!

I’ve just been having a nosey through the Cannock Chase thread looking for ideas of walks, so hoping to explore the area a bit more soon :)

hi everyone ... just joined to get some good insight to where best to live and retire in beautiful Staffordshire. We love Lichfield, and looking for that rural/urban combo. Work in Brum so will need close links to train station. All recommendations greatly received.

I work in Birmingham and live in stafford. There are regular trains to and from Birmingham, so its good place to live and much cheaper house prices than Lichfield.

Welcome Stafsgirl. There are a number of very good restaurants in Stafford. The recently opened Post House; Tap and Spile; No.5; Thawa Bridge (my favourite Indian) and the town boasts alot of very good real ale pubs and candid.

Hi thank you for letting me join the forum. Seems very informative. I have lived in Stafford for 23 years. I am now retired. Looking forward to finding lots of information about the area and places of interest. .Burt.
