Such as in Penkridge and Gnosall ?Is the answer Health Centres as opposed to GPs' surgeries?
A simple answer would be for people to just act in a responsible manner, in the interests of the people who ultimately pay their wages, or for the regulators, that those same people also pay, to do what they're paid for - rather than strut their pomposity from the safety of their legally-enforceable closed shop.Is the answer Health Centres as opposed to GPs' surgeries?
Such as in Penkridge and Gnosall ?
Gnosall Pharmacy doesn't open at the weekend. I found this out when I once didn't wait for prescription. Never made that mistake again.
I thought it was the Gibsons that had the Penkridge establishment but evidently can't tell a Health Centre from a GP's Medical Practice.Penkridge does't have a health centre alas. Penkridge Medical Practice is still a GPs. Such as Brewood & Gnosall though.
Dr Tony Grocott is head honcho at the Penkridge Medical Practise.I thought it was the Gibsons that had the Penkridge establishment but evidently can't tell a Health Centre from a GP's Medical Practice.
I'm probably wrong here then.Dr Tony Grocott is head honcho at the Penkridge Medical Practise.
I have no idea, doubt it thoI'm probably wrong here then.
Any relation to the Grocotts who had a chip shop in Eastgate Street during the 1970s ?
The principle of the NHS is excellent and many parts of the NHS are excellent but the GP system is totally, utterly crap and will always be so until someone his them in the wallet and forces them to offer customer service. Much like the Outpatient system as well actually.
I can't find definitive proof, but references to the chip shop generally spell it Groucott, whereas Grocott seems to be the Penkridge doctor's form.Any relation to the Grocotts who had a chip shop in Eastgate Street during the 1970s ?
I have no idea, doubt it tho
Oh, do you realise who the MP is for those of us who live on the western outskirts of the borough?!Not having them be for-profit businesses would help.
However it does sound like this is a rather exceptional case even for GPs. Not allowing an alternative pharmacy must be against “the rules” surely? I’d be on to your MP (haha... at least you’re not in Stafford), local Trust, etc as it sounds like they’re taking the piss

Oh, I think you'll find he's not been shy helping himself.Never heard of anyone who has been helped in any way by Sir Bill.
No, David Blanchard ran the Dunston Beer Festival for six years until 2000.Was Tony Grocott the person who ran the Dunston Beer Festivals.
Penkridge Medical Practice partners are currently Dr Anthony Grocott, Dr Gopal Annadanam, Dr Sheena Gibson & Dr Joanna Baldock (probably in order of seniority) plus 3 salaried GPs

And there's one I took in issue 97 of the Potters Bar magazine. That's it, knew it was one of the Penkridge doctors. Somewhere I have a photo of him standing in front of the stillage.
