I had cause to go to Oak Tree Farm today, not that I needed much of an an excuse. Plenty of info here - http://www.oaktreefarm.uk.net/ - for those that aren't fully aware of it.

The scones in the Oak Leaf Tea Room are not for the faint-hearted. I stopped for a rest three-quarters of the way through and took a picture.

There's animals of all descriptions about, the chickens weren't too impressed with the wind this morning, though.

Obviously, there's oak trees aplenty, including this spooky one.

Well worth calling in, if you're travelling the fabled Route B5066.

I popped out this far into Yokelsville today - the sausage cassoulet seemed like a good bet on a cold, grey day and it turned out to be both very tasty and about as much as was humanly possible to ingest.

I may have to lie down for a bit now.

Oak Tree Farm says -

New Online Shop

https://www.oaktreefarm.uk.net/online-shop

Oak Tree Farm Rural Project tea room and shop remain closed to the public for the time being in order to keep our Team Members, some of whom are quite vulnerable, safe.

As a result, we have now opened an online shop, where we have a selection of our Oak Tree Farm merchandise, bakes, produce, plants, pottery, crafts and textiles available for you to purchase. Rather than being a purely commercial enterprise, the online shop's main objective is to give a purpose to our Team Members' activities at the farm e.g. baking scones and cakes for sale whilst the tea room is closed, and putting together the orders as a vocational learning activity.

The plant sales and the tea room bakes and produce will be sold on a click and collect basis, but most of the pottery and craft items are available through click and collect, or can be delivered.

For items to be collected, we will contact you to arrange a suitable collection date and time. As the online shop is primarily an activity for our Team Members, collection times will be only available on the days that they are here - Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

You will be asked to collect your order from the overflow car park area at the bottom of the drive, but you will not be able to come through the gates to the tea room and shop due to the COVID restrictions currently in place.

We hope you enjoy browsing our new online shop. Thank you for continuing to support Oak Tree Farm Rural Project.

The link for the online shop is: https://www.oaktreefarm.uk.net/online-shop
