When that record came out I was working at MOD Donnington in a work shop repairing Army radios (Clansman and the like.) There were five of us working and we spoke to each other using the lyrics of this along these sort of lines (you know how work banter can get out of hand :heyhey:):

Points at severely damaged radio: "It's worse than that, it's dead Jim."
Attempts to repair radio: "Yea cannae change the laws O physics."
Radio sputters into life: "It's life Jim, but not as we know it."

Our boss would sit in his office at the top of the workshop muttering: "They're all f****** nutters in here ..!!"

I was 16! Loved that song, its going to be stuck in my head for days now... So if you hear someone humming it in a supermarket in the next few days.. It'll be me....

When you think you should be winging on a cloud someplace ... but gravity has conspired against you. Put this song on and remember the quote from Uncle Albert: 'Imagination is everything.'
