Open Takeaways During Lock Down.

Does anyone have any updates on who is doing takeaway food at the moment please?
I don’t mean the usual Indian, Chinese, fish and chips etc but a proper meal.

I thought that both Seven Stars and The Moat House were doing takeaway food but I can’t find anything on their website.
We’re in Bednall so we really would like something localish, we don’t want to travel to Stone for example in the snow (it’s for tonight, Tues.).

I thought cakes, bakes and milkshakes in Penkridge did something along the lines that I’m looking for. I know they’ve changed hand to something else but I can’t find a website for them.

We hardly ever have takeaway food so I’m very out of the loop and any help or ideas would be very welcome.

Seven Stars and Moathouse both stopped after Christmas. I'd also be interested in anything beyond the usual takeaways but I'm afraid that we're going to be disappointed.

@peggy seemed very happy with Jenkinson's provisions.

Thanks for that @Gramaisc but it looks like that is “heat at home”.
The idea is to not go near the cooker! I might as well cook something myself if that’s the case.
No, I’m looking for someone else to cook for me.

On a similar subject I noticed that The Moat House are doing something similar for Valentine’s Day.
A heat at home box that you prepare yourself. £70 for two!!!!
If I’m paying £70 I certainly don’t want to be cooking it myself.

Green's Ts in Gnossal produces this sort of thing.

She operates mostly through Facebook, but you might be able to check availability on 01785 824 965.

Time/distance could be an issue for your location, though.

Again a bit far out but:
Saracens Head at Weston
Cock Inn at Stowe
Shrewsbury Arms (Shrew) at Kingstone
All do good take away meals but only for preorder & collect. They’re all on Facebook.

Thanks everyone. Some lovely ideas for another time.

We just didn’t want to drive far, we don’t want the food to get cold but also during lockdown we’d just rather stick to the rules and stay local.

Chinese it is then after all.

Don't forget the Wimpy at Milford. It's surprisingly decent once in a while, if you can cope with the horror that is Milford.

Pieminster had just popped up on delivery services (from the Burger priest kitchens I think) we've just had pies delivered for lunch and they were glorious :pie:
I noticed that on Sunday. They are nice but thought they were a little expensive but if it’s only once a week or fortnight it’s not so bad.
