It's been a pain to get a signal on my phone since last Friday (I've had to change from T-moblie to Orange/T-mobile & back again on the network settings to get it to work for a few minuites at a time).

Of course, today (the one day of the week I don't need to use the phone) it's been fine.

I've been having problems as well since last Friday. The strange thing is though, Internet is working just find even though I see the no service icon on my phone. I've had to make phone calls through Skype!

My Android phone is on Orange and I currently can't make calls or send texts when I'm connected to an "Orange T-Mobile" network. I set my phone to connect (Search mode = Manual) to Orange, but it changes back by itself.
About to connect manually to "Orange" and call 150 to complain...

Spoke to Orange. They did some tests and re-updated my phone with the latest settings. There is some known problems from as far back as May with the Weeping Cross mast but no other known problems.
My phone was automatically switching to "Orange T-Mobile", but since the Orange update text message it seems to be staying on "Orange" now and sending/receiving texts/calls ok.
If you're on Orange or T-Mobile and are having problems, they urge you to phone them up. (Orange 150 free from your phone if you can switch it to GSM mode or some mode where you can make calls). It does say they're busy at the moment, but I only had to wait about 5 minutes on hold.

I had no signal whatsoever yesterday despite switching to 2G and no internet either - not sure if it was because we were climbing Snowdon though as the signal came back when we got back to Staffordshire - although it was a rubbish signal.
Today am on full signal but on 2G again. If they have no problems to report why are so many of us still suffering!

I just sent an email to the guy who is looking into it for me with an update. I still can't send/receive texts or make calls whilst on Orange T-Mobile 3G, but Orange 3G and all 2G services seem to be ok.
I sent/received texts and made a call from near the uni on Beaconside this morning while it was on Orange T-Mobile, but not sure if it was on 3G or not.

My Orange one is saying T-Mobile, but seems, I presume , to still be working OK..
Your Motorola RAZR is 2G so you won't have any problems.

UltraSBM (who is very quiet on this forum) is also reporting the same issue with his iPhone. When he leaves Stafford he has a flurry of texts and missed calls come through.

I would, but my phone doesn't work! ;)
LOL. Try manually switching to your home network or GSM mode. If still not working the Orange customer service number is 07973100150 - preferably from another contract mobile as it'll cost you from a landline. They can call you back on a landline if you ask them nicely.

Sooo another chat with Orange today! They are now saying they did have a 'small problem' with a mast in Stafford but it is now fixed and network status should be back to normal strength in a day or so. Well mine isn't fixed yet!
They have said they will give me a proportional reduction on my bill this month and to email them once my signal strength is back to normal again. 10 days so far :(
