I haven’t been able to buy eggs from Tesco for weeks . I’m sure I read somewhere that it was so so with rising costs for egg farmers so some are just not bothering . But who knows …

The Aldi on Kingston had eggs this week albeit they didn't have the size I wanted.

I've been getting my Free Range from a nearby M&S around here as they have been so nice , and cheaper than the other shops.
Had already planned to have my usual walk to get more today as I love my poached eggs for brekkie and only had 1 left. But felt guilty buying my usual 2 boxes after seeing shortages mentioned yesterday. Hope no-one thought I was a panic buyer with them being the only thing I'd gone in for!

Well over 4 million poultry have been slaughtered because of infection and there are increasing restrictions including a possible requirement for all flocks to be moved indoors. Likely to have a major impact on egg production and availability of poultry for Xmas. Also affecting wild birds. Wild ducks, geese and swans are dying, but numbers are unknown. Affecting many countries.

There's quite a few swans dying here in Worcester , including some in the swan sanctuary and further down the river
