Party ideas for a 9 year old

I'm trying to come up with a party idea for my son. We do a full on traditional party at home with the family but I also try and do a seperate party with his friends. He has doesnt want a big party in a hall but would rather do something with a few friends, so far I'm considering (at his request) a wall climbing party. Would like to be able to offer a couple of alternative suggestions. Last year he didn't get a party as I wasn't well enough to organise so need to get on and sort something this year.

Not 100% certain about minimum age, but at some it's 8 and others it's 10.... paintballing. Super good fun.

Or what about Quazar (or whatever they call it these days)? Bowling? If you have transportation and it's just a few of them, toboganning at the Snowdome in Tamworth is great fun too.

Waterworld! And i second snowdome. Or you could do an experience day thing at the zoo ( zoo keeper for the day) or swim with sharks at blueplanet . They do some experience days at hoo farm too

I've got an 11year olds party soon.

Depending on budget, I do a special deal from Sunday to Thursday for the photobooth, which I could do as an even better deal if it's local. We did a 13 year olds party recently and they loved it. The Sunday to Thursday thing is to keep Fri & Sat free for full priced bookings, but if it was short notice I could do it on those days too if not already booked.

It sounds a fab idea for a party but unfortunately the 11 year old to be is very camera shy, but love the idea and should imagine great fun!

Star Wars is great, by far the best of the newer bunch, just got home from a midnight adventure with the 7 year old - I'm sure she won't be doing much on her last day at school.

There is a 'flip out' opening on Saturday in stoke, the kids parties look amazing!

A trampoling centre has recently opened in Wolverhampton. I believe its called AirSpace. Alternatively, Air Walk in B'ham.

If you really want to make them miserable, take them all to watch Wolves play at Molineux

If they are into football, then there are stadium tours available at Wolves or Stoke. Alternatively, the Manchester United tour is excellent even for non-United fans.
