A quick skim says this won’t change the marked bays opposite the dentist on Friar’s Road? It’s already annoying enough getting parking for there because of the “no leaving the site” rule for the TKMaxx Parking

The dentist has a car park at the back.

It does. If you go down Friars Walk it's down there just before the grassy bit.

It does say 'Parking for invalid persons only', so limp a bit...

There is also a 'No parking - dental surgery only' sign in Orchard Street, but that may be 'historical' in nature.

I'm not sure which dentist the parking spaces in Orchard Street are for.

The one along Friars Walk does say for "invalid persons" only but I've seen several customers of the dentist parking there and don't recall seeing any blue badges on display.

It may be worth asking the dentist if it's ok to park there.

Or just claim you don't feel like a valid person.

“a person made weak or disabled by illness or injury.”

Surely a toothache would count then?
