Film wasn't bad much better than the second one but not as good as the first. The first film had just the right amount of action to comedy to story without taking the whole thing too seriously. Although I think Orlando Blooma and Keira Knightly were correctly cast in the first film as their characters didn't require as much of a certain acting ability, the last two films required them to make more of an appearance, with Orlando Bloom seemingly taking the lead role from Johnny Depp in the lastest one. I just think he hasn't quite got the ability as yet to have a leading role (this can also be evidenced in 'Kingdom of Heaven' where he appeared to have the leading role. Film was beautifully mad and story/plot wasn't bad, it's just that Orlando's acting was a little wooden. In saying that he had a leading role in 'Elizabeth Town' and wasn't bad, however maybe he is suited to more natural roles. Keira Knightly is more suited to roles where she is allowed to act and that has not been tainted by Hollywood or disney in this case.
Johnny Depp was however the star of the film along with the monkey (the only character in the thing that has been developed successfully over the three movies).
The one thing that really peeved me off was the Orlando and Knightly marriage proposal and subsequent marriage during the main battle scene towards the end of the movie.........this was so cheesy I thought I was watching a movie aimed at 2 year olds.
Other than that, wasn't bad............way too long - if you are going to see it take a book in case you get bored
Cheerio
