Places to go for Vegans in Stafford.

Anyone know of any restaurants locally that do a decent selection of vegan food?

As opposed to one choice of vegan on the menu.
The Swan used to have a Veggie/Vegan night but don't know if it's still going.

My friend from Sheffield is Vegan and we ate at the Swan from the evening menu and she was pleased with the vegan offerings on the menu although you had to request the vegan version.

The Post House may do vegan but I haven't eaten there for a good 10 or so years because the food and service were awful when we went.

Can't think of anywhere else in Stafford though.

Thanks everyone, something to think about.

Our son and his girlfriend are vegans and when we pop out for a bite to eat we do find that the options are limited for them.

For example, husband and I love Whites. (near Wolseley Bridge). A lovely walk on the Chase followed by a bite to eat there. To be fair, they do a great vegan breakfast but for lunch, only one choice.

We don’t always want to go into the town centre, although we would if the options were better.

Saracens head in Weston sounds like our cup of tea, (thanks @proactive ) so will give that a try but any other recommendations will be very welcome.

I'm only really familiar with town center places. Another recommendation for Verso lounge for a range of Vegan options. Spoons is also surprisingly good, but not where you might want for a fancier meal out.

Thanks @Wormella

No we wouldn’t go to Spoons, it’s not our thing, although we’re not necessarily looking for a fancy meal out, just popping out for a bite to eat.

When Son visits we like to take the dogs out for a walk and then have a lunch somewhere but the vegan options are usually minimal. I suppose what we’re really looking for, if I’m being specific is a decent pub that welcomes dogs, parking outside and a few decent vegan option.
Not really much to ask

You can take dogs to Verso too!

If we were going in to town then we wouldn’t be taking the dogs anyway because we couldn’t let them have a walk/run off the lead.
But it’s worth knowing about Verso if only to keep the options open.
