Places to go for Vegans in Stafford.

The Original CupCake Co.

A few posts under my belt
Not a place to eat out but my shop in St Mary's Gate (Opp entrance side of St Mary's Church) makes both Vegetarian and Vegan CupCakes and Cakes to take away. You usually need to order but I bake fresh everyday so can usually make some with a day or so notice.

In the olden days there was Dylans up anleyduck

Ahead of its time - good fresh food and attentive service ( totty )

The Chipeaters didna get it

I still miss Dylans. It remains my favourite for food and atmosphere. Once, when I was ill, my then-boyfriend drove to Hanley and persuaded the Dylans' team to let him buy some of their own garlic bread that they kept in the freezer. Proper, homebaked brown bread, oozing with garlic butter and onion. He brought it round to mine and cooked it for me. Heaven on a plate. I never got the impression that Dylans was struggling for trade - it always seemed fairly busy whenever we went in. Perhaps the owners had just had enough of the anti-social hours and hard slog of the catering business? Interested to read Henry's Cat's post about a new veggie place in Hanley...although it does look a lot smarter than Dylans...I liked the dripping candles, rickety wooden tables, enormous blackboard dominating the wall and condensation pouring down the windows on evenings when it was particularly busy.

lewis partnership, pioneering bidniz once again! although i'm not one of these tree-hugging, guardian-reading, tofu-eating hippy types, i really am very impressed with this.. i've never known an entrepreneur quite as.. well, entrepreneurial as you..

the irony, of course, is that the only person in this thread who won't be taking advantage of your offer is the penniless lunar "people's poet" scorpion :teef: lol

defo looking forward to seeing the menu..

Oh wow that sounds brilliant! I'll definitely be there - starting when? Thanks so much for doing that. One happy veggie :)

Strict face-eater here, but good on you for giving the veggies a good offer too. I just hope there is enough veggie interest in Stafford to make it worthwhile, good luck.

Most of those will eat faces, not really a measure of the veggie night success. Only worth putting something on that sells, can't expect TLP to promote something that doesn't. So if you are a veggie (or veg-curious) go along, prove to Stafford establishments that this is a good thing to promote. Its the only way you'll get more choice, and a possible full vegan restaurant.

I'm coming to the swan today for lunch with a friend!
You get ten brownie points if you can spot me hahaha!
Although you could get yourself in trouble if you go up to your guests and say 'Are you a crazy rat lady?'
Could cause trouble!
