Actually, since going back to work full time, and subsequently putting Brit in Nursery full time I think that list is up to date, but I'm not 100% - this facebook group is the easiest and quickest way to check - ask on there and someone will know

Messy play at the church next to the cinema is very good. My wife has taken my daughter to a number of play groups with varying success.

My wife is a fan of the playgroup at the church opposite the Prince of Wales PH off the Weston Road. She goes there most Mondays.

She has also been to a play group at Risingbrook Church; she liked the venue and the organisers. However, some of the mums that went to it were not very pleasant, as such she has not gone back.

When my little one was little we used Trinity Church, opposite Sainsbury's, and the one in the community centre on Holmcroft Road. No idea if either are still going 15 years later though!!

I attempted playgroup with both my children. My son hated it and I hated going even more. I always found some of the other parents/mums to be b##Chy. Most places with lots of women are!
on that basis , I can't really recommend and playgroups but there is one down the side of soup kitchen which I don't think has been mentioned
