Funeral ... I live just round the corner and someone from our street who is a postman had his dark suit on!

Nice to see compassion from stafford people yet again hope I can post something when a friend or member of your family dies. Thank God some workplaces still show solidarity for their colleagues. Sorry for the rant by the way no strikes called yet but maybe you'll get something in the post .

Well if everyone was standing by the church near by I wouldn't have posted that naturally, everyone was standing outside of the local community hall.

I get a lot of things delivered actually, so I put a lot of work their way.

Sorry for any disrespect.

The guy who died was someone I know through my son going to school with his son. Unfortunately he succumbed to cancer.

In fairness, I don't think there was anything in Gilesjuk's post which suggested any lack of compassion. Generally I find the people of Stafford a fairly caring, supportive bunch, shown again in this thread. The Forum is somewhere people turn for information and Gilesjuk was just asking about something he had seen - as he says, there probably wasn't anything about the venue or setting to indicate the funeral connection and no one would want to be insensitive towards the bereaved.

This sounds terribly sad news and it is a tribute both to the individual and to his colleagues that so many wanted to pay their respects.
