I use azureus to download stuff off the internet but recently the health of the torrents have stayed yellow and refuse to go green, does any one else use azurues and also suffer from this problem.

First things that spring to mind is that there aren't many peers in the torrent, or your router or firewall needs a good configuring.

try µTorrent instead.. seriously.. i used to be firmly in the "no, i'm perfectly happy with Azureus, thanks" camp, then somehow i was persuaded to try µTorrent and i've never looked back..

there's no installer or anything, it doesn't litter your computer with DLLs, and system files, and registry entries.. just download the executable and run.. it has a tiny footprint, and can do everything azureus can do, and more..

try it out - it's the shiznit, dawg :v:

Gotta agree, µTorrent rocks! Was also a firm believer in Azureus, but when I reinstalled my file server I put 2000 on it and for some reason Azureus wouldn't work. Tried µTorrent and its brilliant, as dirtybobby says its tiny and does everything thats needed. I just set up a shared torrents folder, all my flatmates download their torrents direct to it and the server then does all the downloading. Speeds seem better than before, and it uses very little resources.

uTorrent is gud, but you will still have the same issue.

Azureus is telling you that you have a Network Address Translation (NAT) problem.

If youre on a wireless network login to the router and configure it to enable uPnP, that should sort mapping the ports automatically.

You can usually login to the Router/Modem by typing some local IP address like http://192.168.0.1

it should say in the manual.

good luck
