Not what the fans of immigration want to hear
Boston has always been a violent shithole. I remember when I worked in the area in the early 90s and stabbings were commonplace in Boston when they weren't as prevalent across the rest of the UK as they are now.

I wonder how many of the foreign sounding surnamed "criminals" are actually asylum seekers which is what this thread is meant to be about?

It is very easy to associate crimes committed by immigrants if all you're looking at is strange sounding surnames.

A large majority of our "English" population have, guess what, foreign sounding surnames and are probably third or fourth generation "English".

Finally if you search for crime capitals in England/UK it throws up loads of different variations and Boston isn't in many of them e.g.https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/britains-most-dangerous-places-live-27107887.amp

We are a nation of mongrels !!! This isn't a bad thing, quite the contrary. Think about history and the number of influxes there have been over the centuries: Celts, Romans (and all the varied nations they also bought in via their legions, recruited from all over their empire.) Angles, Saxons, Vikings, Normans (more bloody Vikings :P,) French, Dutch, ...from all over what was then the Empire stretching from a sizeable part of Africa to the Indian sub-continent and beyond. Afro-Caribbeans, all parts of southern Asia .... the list goes on and on.
And for me this has made us a better nation. (It's the so called pure-bred bastards you need to worry about.)
OK, we're an island and this tends to make people a bit insular, but not me. For me variety is the spice of life. Condemning people for horrific behaviour before they've even got of the boat is an old cliché, proved wrong over and over.
Some years ago I was visiting family in Tividale, right in the heart of the Black Country. I went for a Chinese takeaway and inside behind the counter was this stunningly beautiful Chinese girl. Absolute pure Chinese doll ... yet when she shouted the order through to the galley it was in a broad Black Country accent. Isn't that wonderful ?
A couple of years later I visited again and the EDL had pretty much sealed off the town of Dudley with one of their Third (Fourth ?) Reich protests. And the police had closed the town centre and were pretty much going along with it.

I know which side I'm on.

Lots of others at various times, Germans, Poles and Russians in the 19th century, Italians in the early 20th century ... And archaeological use of isotope and DNA testing is throwing up some very interesting results. A at number of Anglo-Saxon cemeteries in East Anglia some of the burials, with full grave goods turn out to be black Africans, Of the 41 skeletons tested from an 14th century plague pit in London 3 have been identified as black African. On historical records the 7th century Archbishop of Canterbury Theodore hailed from Turkey or Syria and his sidekick Bishop Hadrian was North African, probably a Berber, and reformed teaching in monasteries. Then in the English Civil War one of the Parliamentarian regiments consisted entirely of moors (ie North Africans), Ethiopians (ie sub-Saharan black Africans) and Mesopotamians (general term for people from the Middle East). Even Lizzy the First commented on the number of black people in London and from the 16th century on there are a steady trickle of marriages across the country where one of the partners is described as black or African. I'm not sure that mongrels is an adequate word.

My Old Man used to say to me: 'You're half Irish and a quarter Welsh, if only there'd been a Scot somewhere in the family you'd be a proper mongrel.'
That's a bit much coming from a half Welshman .... (never did figure out whether it was the top half or the bottom half that was Welsh.) :P
