Puregym coming to Stafford.

I don't have much information on this but walking home last night I saw someone in a Puregym uniform. Puregym have no contract, great facilities and usually come at a good price per month. They also allow you to cancel whenever you want. I was a member near my work at West Brom.
I tweeted Puregym on Twitter (obviously) and they said they are due to open in March in Stafford. No other information than that.

I am really sad to hear about the closure of Virgin Active in Stafford.
I am a class instructor and have been there since the start. I have made loads of friends there and will miss the club.

Puregym is a completely different concept and probably will have loads more equipment but aren't know for their classes or high levels of staffing. I understand that this will suit many people but if you would like to come to classes from your current instructors let Groove Academy know and we will see what we can do for you at the Northfield Centre just over the road. info@grooveacademy.co.uk www.grooveacademy.co.uk

I am so angry Virgin have sent me a message today to say the gym is closing on the 31st, poor show from VirginActive (obviously not using them again). Very annoyed Pure Gym ate taking over as they are going to take away the spa aspect preumably, which means there is nothing left in Stafford alike. Stafford does not need a pure gym imo.

I'm looking forward to it. I don't like gym and tonic. I have visited esporta when I first moved to Stafford but it was out of my price range and the leisure center is too busy and full of kids.

I haven't been in a gym since a weird bloke with too-tight shorts and behavioural issues insisted that I did.

This is great news, a good price without contract, relatively close to my home. Pleased to hear this.

I am furious! One of the only reasons I go to Virgin is the swimming pool!

What a sad day for Stafford, and people whom are willing to pay to actually use the equipment.

I didn't mind the £55 a month. It meant I don't get as much chavvy piss in my ear when I talk in the pool.

As I said somewhere else.....Middle child will be happy, he currently uses the Puregym at Stoke as he often works until after midnight & Puregym is open 24hrs a day.... :)

Its a shame about the classes & the pool, but the loss of them is down to Virgin selling out, not Puregym opening a new gym...Virgin can't of been doing so well in Stafford if they're willing to sell up so quickly.

I don't go to gyms, however it is sad that Stafford is losing a pool, spa etc.

I am surprised Virgin are closing down, whenever I go passed the site it always appears to be very busy.
