Been a Veggie for 20 odd years. Have always said I have no write to challenge anyone for eating flesh, if I continue to drink/eat milk. The whole milk industry is riddled with animal butchering! A cow won't give milk if it has not relatively recently given birth; and these offspring are not sent off to some fairy/dairy land! They are, sooner or later, killed! I choose not to eat meat, cos' I don't like the taste, simples!henryscat said:Getting shot is probably a better option for the calf than being reared for veal. A lot of veal calves essentially are there as a direct consequence of the existence of the dairy industry. So whilst vegetarians might be contributing to reducing animal suffering, consumption of dairy very much supports animal suffering.
