What an ill thought out plan, literally , the only thing stopping the water right now is about a foot of concrete.

What a shame if they get flooded already.

Hopefully this may encourage the council to look after the waterway better. Dredge it, maintain the overflows and clear it off litter.

...... no chance our council are incompetent.

The council?

Maybe the council will ask China to shut down its factories for a few years

To be honest, and please don't come out all guns a blazing at me. I'd rather the council sorted out the Sandon Road.

I remember way back in 1900 and froz to death, (80s) the bit of the Sow next to Sainsburys was dredged, has never been touched since, takes the council all their time cut the grass down that bit. I'm no expert, far from it and I know my posts all show that, but it's my guess we're going to get a lot more flooding everywhere, due to removing all the trees and plants and building where they once were.

Think is , I remember the old Tesco used to flood regularly, so you'd think they'd have built it a bit higher.

Stafford Cricket and hockey club is flooded, the roadway to the leisure centre is closed and it looks like Horne end nursery may be under water as well....

I'm due to go to St Johns Ambulance on Lichfield Rd this afternoon and park in carpark at rear of building. Is that near affected area?
