A warning about cold callers in the area (ST16). I have just had a builder call at my house. He said that there was work needed doing on my roof and that he would go up and take a video in order to give me a quote. As the video was free I thought there would be no harm in getting a written quote.
When the lads working for him came down he showed me a video of tiles moving on the roof. As he gave me a price for having workd done now that was way less than if they come back I said no. When he left I went outside to where they had gone up the ladder and saw that they had actually removed tiles and left a hole where there was none before.
He said his name was Carl Westwood and that he worked for Midlands Home Improvements in Wolverhampton.
I called the company registered as Midland Home Improvements and the person who answered said that he worked out of Glastonbury and never went as far north as Wolverhampton, nor had anyone working for him who did.
