Is there one in Stafford or in the local area? Having spent £1000 for skin and blood tests I'm feeling like the vets are being way too thorough to give themselves some work. A £70 blood test could have confirmed my dogs Leish positivity.

Going forward my dog is going to need a blood test every 6 months and treatment and even though the charity I got her from would help if I can't afford the bills, I don't want to do that and deplete their resources.

We use Shires at Stone for about 10 months & find them reasonable, although I can’t compare with others. Our Frenchie had his first vaccinations, booster & kennel cough all in cost £81. Daughter has a Frenchie & their vets (at Rugeley) charged £130 for the same.
We now subscribe to their “pet health for life” plan & we get annual vaccinations, monthly worm & flea treatment including lungworm, 2 consultations with a vet & 2 with a nurse in any 12 months (that should cover the blood tests?) & other things like microchipping, nail clipping etc are included at £17 per month renewed each year.
I’ve been very happy with their service etc.

We used to use the vets in Pets at Home at Cannock Orbital. They were very good and had a similar plan which includes the various monthly treatments, an annual checkup and a number of consultations. Can't remember what it cost now.
