Hi.
We have been looking for a sofa etc for our lounge. We have looked at DFs. SCs. Next. Westbridge and sofa City. Nothing grabs my attention. Is there anyone else out there having this problem too. Where to go next.. Help...

If you want something a little different… Nabru? They come as a palette of MDF to slot together, fully configurable, etc. We have a pretty massive sofa that cost us a lot less than you’d pay for a “proper” 2 seater

It's always worth a look in the Katharine House warehouses - all sorts of stuff in there, you might see what you want.

Tried IKEA too. Looking for a corner piece. Room is a little small and awkward. Don't want anything too low as in laws struggle to get out of low chairs.

I refuse to buy a new/ish suite till that bloody cat has gone. You can buy the ruddy things all the scratching posts in the world, but no, they want your things. It's bad enough Sweep took the wallpaper off right above where myself and the youngest sit.
So till littleshit has departed, i'll stick with the horrible white fake leather things we have.

There’s a few back heights I think?

We had a similar space issue to you, as we needed something that would fit into an alcove and most sofas wouldn’t… but we were able to get the right configuration of sofa with a wide seat and a corner piece, plus a wide arm, to be able to fit it snugly in and still have an L-shape too.

As a bonus if you move you can in theory buy extras and reconfigure it to be bigger. When we eventually get a bigger place I fully intend on making this a U-shaped sofa instead of an L-shaped one

I think I'll drive up to the showroom. I did email them and they said they didn't do them. Also was told at westbridge in Stoke if I want a leather one it will be Feb delivery. They is a shortage of fabric apparently

Looks the sort of thing that would be useful for lounging on Cretan beaches during a political crisis

Ha then realised too big to get through the door, oh well at least we have another room. To put it in.
