Severn Trent have closed the road from Wolseley Bridge to Weeping Cross

I fleetingly saw a sign by the Silkmore Lane / Lichfield Road roundabout last night that suggested a possible road works inbound from the 16th of this month.

I failed to see all the details.

I drove on this road early this morning, it was very flooded - almost turned back, but did get through safely. The flooded area is up near the back entrance to Shugborough & there was a lot of ice / slush on that road this morning so probably a good call to close it!

The water is coming from the underground resovoir not the road. I feel the problem is bigger than we know yet. There is a lot of water held there. It's not leaking at Milford end where the new pipe works have been carried out. I was there this morning too. Looking at the size of stones on the road there must have been a considerable flow to carry them that size.

Mr Apricot has just driven through Milford and the road was open. At least, if the road was closed, he was oblivious to it.

He did see the sign that Gramaisc saw, on the Silkmore Lane / Lichfield Road roundabout.
