Severn Trent water meters.

Mmm, how much water is a reasonable amount to use?

I've just done an annual reading here and it's showing an increment of 23.1 cubic metres.

With the house occupied for 306 of those days, that's 75 litres a day. Or 27.5 cubic metres equivalent, for a fully occupied year.
I don't have a meter but that seems a very small amount to use imo

In my ignorance, I thought it seemed a lot, considering what I actually do, but, apparently, 150 litres per person per day is the going rate.

That 150 may be national usage divided by population, which may not be the same as the average of single-person households.

I don't water the garden with mains water, the pressure washer has had very limited use in that time, I may have sprayed the car a couple of times. Pretty much all that water has been used inside the house.

I would be interested if another sole occupant, with a wfh-type lifestyle, has data.

Thoughts on having a water meter fitted. My bill is now
£63.00 a month ST16 area. Curious if this is a lot compared to others pay. 🤔

Is that £63 an unmetered 'monthly' direct debit?

If so, then they take eight payments, not twelve.

That would be £42 per month, over the whole year.

I think.

I pay about £240 twice a yearly, so that's about £40 a month.
( That's with taking a bath each month whether I need one or not )
