This is really good. I had no idea wind was now the largest single producer of our electric. That's impressive tbh
Seems almost unbelievable to me, but the Venerable Mrs Seed and I are in Grimsby at a Party, but when you see the massive development of turbines in the country side, and particularly off the coast up here you can see how that has happened!

I caught the end of a programme about Grimsby recently.

The reason why there are so many windfarms in that area isn't because it's very windy there but because it is shallower and thus easier to install them.

I'd assumed they always put them in the windiest places.

True, only when it's windy. But it doesn't take much wind to turn these big modern turbines and we are one of the windiest countries in Europe having a 3000 mile wide weather engine to the west of us.

This is such a terrible decision. One of the great things about it is the location. I’m far less interested in going if it’s in the theatre.

We usually have a picnic in the grounds and then head in to watch the show, where’s that charm in a conventional location? It’s a no from me.

Also, I can’t believe it doesn’t turn a profit?!
How about a picnic in Victoria Park beforehand ?
Or if it's raining a meal in the Bird in Hand ?

In another matter, how freedom leisure can be skint after robbing so many people twice a year to run the streets of Stafford is baffling.
I thought Freedom Leisure was a charitable thing but can't find it on the Charity Commission's website.

Making no profits doesn't mean it can't pay it's senior staff shed loads of cash.
