Shockwave & Firefox

What conflicts are you on about? I have Firefox and everything works ok. I also have Chrome on my pc because my OH prefers to use it as a browser. You could try out Opera, I used that for a while but decided I liked Firefox better because of some of the add-ons.

I just checked to see which version I am using on Firefox and it is 21.0.0.213, does that help?

If I have problems I contact mozilla support.

Shock wave and Flash choose not work on occasions with Firefox

Not frequent but annoying enough

I Googled it and I am not alone...

I was just thinking and a couple of years ago I did have some problems with flash crashing, it was when I was using windows 8 so I changed it and everything worked ok.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Chrome is the way to go at the moment but, like all computery things, has its issues.

Firefox is old hat and Opera is pretty shite, frankly.

ditto.. i used chrome for years, but then it started to become an immense memory hog so i switched to firefox.. i much preferred the way firefox rendered fonts, and seemed to handle CSS3 better, so stuck with it - but then it started crashing all the time, giving that shockwave frazzled face icon pretty much every time i used it.. so, i went back to chrome..

as @Gramaisc says, it has its fair share of shockwave/flash related issues too, but they seem to be vastly diminished if you don't install adobe flash at all and just let chrome's internal flash engine do its thing..

Delete Flash from your computer, it's a huge security risk. Use Chrome instead as from what I know, it has a version of Flash embedded in it in a security enclave.

Anyway, delete Flash even if you don't want to use Chrome.
