Recently tried POF, found the same. Looked at match.com but even if you pay they can't reply unless they do too or you pay double to allow anyone to message you. Most profiles are irrelevant as there is no indication if they have paid or not, so you never know if the message you spend ages writing can even be read!

Plus match came up with 6 recommendations for me, I already knew 3 of them and one is my exe's daughters best mates mum (try saying that 3 times fast after a skinfull). Stafford is a very small pond to fish in.

It's a waste of time paying for Match. I did that last year, most of them are on POF anyway.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Not really been on any for a few days anyway. TBH I'm not even sure what I want right now, certainly not a new relationship as I think I need to sort out what I'm doing with myself first.

Was out with an old mate again last night, really lovely girl and a great laugh too. Perfect girlfriend material TBH, not that I think she's interested, but I just found myself wondering if that is what I really want right now? 10 years is a long time to get over and while most of my emotions are now clear I can't help thinking I'm not fully separated from it all. Do I want to allow that to interfere with the next person? I'm just gonna stick to having a laugh for now rather than actively looking, not saying if someone comes along I won't seriously consider it but it's not a top priority for the moment.

I'd still come to a singles night though ;)

yeah I've been divorced for 15 years and I'd definitely recommend spending some time being single. It makes you realise who you are and what you want.
