Yes...tripped over the cat and smashed the soddin' thing,
the monitor that is not the cat.
I spent 2 and a half hours googling for a work around. Providing
you have enough undamaged area on your monitor available
and you have another monitor connected, you can log in and then
switch monitor mirroring on. Chadda!! you can carry on working
on your second monitor until a better solution is found.
I have screen captured the solution if you ever need it.
