Specific Question - Rowley Park

I think this could be a short thread but it should help one or two with 'facts of the matter'.

I've done some delivery work and part of this included delivering a package to The Laurels, built on the land of the old Rotherwood home.
I parked outside the Crescent Road barrier and walked along the rest of the road plus the length of Lawn Road to get there.
If you live in the area, could you confirm this has to be done or is there a way of a non resident driving in?

A non resident could drive in, but I doubt they would make it out alive...😂

Go along the Newport Road, turn into Rowley Grove, drive along and go through the entrance gates with the white pillars into Rowley Park and Rotherwood Drive and The Laurels will be on your right. Exit the same way back onto Newport Road.

Thanks
My round was from the other end so now I know I'll factor it in. Cheers

Yes, you can access from either A449 Wolverhampton Road or A518 Newport Road, but can't drive straight through because they don't want ratrunning, especially for the school.

I think you can drive all the way to the Laurels via Rowley Avenue unless they close the gates but I've never seen them closed whenever I've been that way.

So it's just one barrier to stop using it as a thoroughfare.
The time i spent round there as a kid but not been round for years! Even the centre gardens looked like you need a pass to get in so it's no longer for us hoyfaloy (or something like!) and it only occurred to me some while after that where I delivered was around the spot I last saw my dear old Gran who passed away in the home in 1985!
