Spicy Potatoes…?

Apparently this is a thing, and the wife is missing them from her time down in Cambridge. Spiced potatoes covered in a soft batter, apparently it’s a fairly regional thing.

Does anyone know anywhere in the immediate area that does them? She’s already scoured the local takeaways

They weren't a thing in Cambridge 20 years ago, although the IPA and terrible bands in the Sea Cadet Hut, as mentioned on that website, were

I do my roast potatoes similar to that ( but in the oven not fried )
