St. Georges building redevelopment questions

Ahoy! I've heard through the grapevine that the old St. Georges building is going to be developed into luxury(?) apartments in the near future, however I'm unable to find any information about this online, all the information that I can find either refers to the new buildings that have recently been built next to that building, which I'm not interested in, or talks about how the building has been acquired and planning permission has been sought... there's nothing that I can find that talks about which company is responsible for the development, what type of development will take place...

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I don't believe for a minute that the old place will be done up. All it needs is 1 more fire and it'll be pulled down. Shame, I loved working there. Much better than the wards we're in now.

There were some surveyers there just after Christmas . One if the porters took some photos of inside one of the buildings , the old part is too dangerous now :(

So many disappointing outcomes..I see the Nags Head ( apostrophe? ) has a new roof but remains stubbornly shut

Chambers/ Hogshead has had a change of use and is now being used by a family of spiders and the area around Butters Solicitors has been revamped to resemble Rochdale

My biggest worry is the Sandonia . On the sandon rd , I grew up opposite there and saw a lot of life in it . if I won the lottery I'd buy it and do it up , mind you it would have to be a big win .

It will be deemed a risk to health and safety of the new residents and torn down. The fact that it was allowed to decay so rapidly after the present owner had got planning permission for all those houses, and that preserving the property was part of the license to develop, will be firmly ignored by our councillors who are a bunch of spineless bastards in the presence of the rich. Anyone that wanted the building preserved would have made them fix it up as they did the new houses, not neglect it completely and hope it will fall down before they are finished. Think how many soulless houses you could fit on there, BRC anyone?

Walking thru there today, I see the builders are taking the new roof tiles off the old Woolly ward. I think Fred Pritchard called it St.Chads place? Wonder if they're getting ready to knock it down get ready for more shite housing?
I've walked through the new estate and it's creepy as fook... Dunno what it is about it, just has this eerie atmosphere.
Is it because the new housing is so ugly compared to the beautiful old building that has been left to rot?

More of the old building knocked down today . For new houses , Pritchard payed a fortune to do that bit up a few years ago , now going :(

Which bit? I thought they had to keep it?

But who here is even slightly shocked? So which fuckwit at the council signed that off, I know it won't be anyone who requires a vote but I'd like to know who they're close to so they can't get one either.

:(

It'll be whichever official has just deposited £10000 in used fivers into their bank account I should imagine.

Be grateful they never got their hands on the Michael Flanagen building, it might look an eyesore now with the 2 new wards on the front, but it would look even worse knocked down and a lego building put in its place.

Should ban access to the site until the old building is sorted, put the lights on Queensway to permanent green for those on the 'old' route and cut off the bastards revenue from selling any more houses.

If only I was rich or corrupt enough to be a councillor, feckers like this wouldn't know what hit them. Maybe we could insist the new gypsy camp goes where the old hospital is should it suddenly burst into flames for no apparent reason.

The place that has been knocked down was part of the old building at the back , it used to be Kingston ward and above it was the old Baswich ward ,

Had a nose round there this evening for the first time. Do the houses at the front of the site, the ones that all have black doors, have any car parking and if so where?
