Stafford Bank Job

Well ok it was a building society but still. For those not in the know, a van driver was ambushed by masked attackers as he delivered cash to Nationwide on Greengate Street at 8.20am Tuesday. Wow only days ago BBC mentioned the low crime rate in the Ford, not to say this has any affect on the statement he made just makes for mild excitement. A passer-by was quoted "You don't really expect it in Stafford especially in the main street". Anyone with info contact Stafford CID 0845 3 302010.:ninja:

When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was going to be an advert for a cashier vacancy.

:grr: the bastards used Castletown as a getaway route! They dumped a car at the industrial estate over the bridge from the Railway Inn..and hot-footed it to Castlefields. How dare they attempt to turn such a haven of tranquility into an area of ill repute!?

Does anyone remember when Castletown Post Office got held up a few years back? They found the armed robbers enjoying a pint in the Doxey Arms about 2 hours later.

Castletown Post office? RIP. What did they get away with, some out of date pop a mug tree and some hair nets?

Can't have been much of a getaway vehicle either if it only made it to doxey arms!

I do remember the yorkshire bank in town being held up whilst we were on lunch break in town. That was exciting. :)

Or perhaps they dumped the car in Castletown because that's where they live? Is the Quadrant in fact a criminal network?

I think the blokes lived up the other end of Doxey - they obviously fancied a pint on the way home.

How could you suggest such a thing?!
It has all the makings which suggests a criminal underworld riddled with gangsters. You've got the inconspicuous ringleader BBC who drives around in black gangster-like car and his band of followers who carry out his dirty work. Andreas Rex lives in the hope that one day he'll be a 'made guy'.
I imagine many 'jobs' have been hatched in the Railway. I bet you there's even a private room out back where they carry out beatings, count money and play poker.

One day the kids from the neighbourhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home from Sainsbury's. You know why? It was outta respect.

To become a member of a crew you've got to be one hundred per cent Castletonian so they can trace all your relatives back to the old country. See, it's the highest honour they can give you. It means you belong to a family and crew. It means that nobody can f**k around with you. It also means you could f**k around with anybody just as long as they aren't also a member. It's like a license to steal. It's a license to do anything. As far as BBC was concerned with Andreas Rex being made, it was like we were all being made. We would now have one of our own as a member.
