Stafford Cinema - ups & downs.

Loads of work ongoing and Aaron has been very active in communicating to people in facebook land and gathered loads of suggestions. I get the feeling he has a good focus on what the interior will look like, while asking local people for what sort of acts they would like to see.
Room 1 with a 900 standing capacity with ability to hold different seated events.
Room 2 with seats and a stage
He's also gathered interest on who would like to see happy hour sessions.
I think offering something different so other bars and businesses can benefit from footfall is what we need.

He now says it's more realistic that the hope is for things to be ready late this year.
Support, funding and fortune all seem to have been in short supply for him.

A Top of The World return is being advertised on Facebook; I'm assuming it's here?

I've had Aaron on my friends list for some time and messaged him some time ago, saying I noticed some trees growing on the roof that need ripping out before they cause real damage. I had no response and trees are still there. The Facebook page seems to have become a place for occasional "What's happening?" posts and people publicising other events!

Would be a shame if nothing came of it. Alarm bells starting ringing when applying for council/government funding seemed to be part of the business plan.

Would be a lovely venue if they do manage to do it though so fingers crossed.

Not terribly surprising, the rent and rates alone during refurbishment would have cost a fortune, unless they bought the building (it was going for £750k at one point)

Trouble is, it’s just not situated well either… the only nearby parking has a warden that’ll snipe you at 500 yards if you dare leave the site.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Tesco and Waterfront aren't exactly far away.
