If True Grit is still being shown next Wednesday i am very much up for it - i'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Wednesday is good for me - if it isn't so for others then let me know so i can catch it while i can.

Well i phoned Apollo - next week True Grit is showing once daily at 1 p.m. How pants is that?

Looks like it's off the cards for a Forum Cinema Night. Ho hum.

P.S. For future reference the direct line (ie not the 0871 10p a minute line) for the cinema is 259876.

That's rather what i thought - might be worth checking next week just in case she got it wrong. It certainly doesn't sound too clever.

I may well go tomorrow night just to be on the safe side.

Well, time was against me this evening but i now plan to go watch True Grit on the 13.00 showing next Monday. It looks very much like a big screen presentation, and quite frankly looks freakin' awesome from the trailer.

I won't be able to hang around for long afterwards but i could probably sneak a pint in if anybody fancies a Monday movie mooch.

I was the only person in there!

Good film - not their best but easily four star. Looked fantastic and the acting was top-notch, though Jeff Bridges was incomprehensible at times, as is how it should be. Really enjoyed it. :)

Just checked the Apollo site and found Source Code has landed. The trailers for this are amazing and advance word very positive. Anyone up for a cinema trip?

My schedule is a bit crazy for the next week or so, but I could perhaps do the early evening one (18:30) on Thursday the 7th...?

I've come to the conclusion that I have far too much going on during the coming week, and it would be mental of me to try and fit in a cinema trip. Too much other stuff to think about! Next week might be a bit ambitious too, as I'll probably spend most of it quietly recovering from this week. Let's forget what I said about Thursday evening, and possibly revisit this next week...?
