I believe you will be able to walk through when the works are finished, part of the walkway is still fenced off.

That said, lots of trees were lost to build it, I’m just glad some of the mature trees remain and the houses aren’t actually that bad looking considering how modern house building goes.

Has anyone read this plan thoroughly? It is full of inaccuracies and assumptions, and pictures of places that will look nothing like what gets inflicted on Staffordians

What is the occupancy rate of our fine town centre retail now the Guildhall is empty?
The report covers the vacancy rate for retail and leisure units. It’s something around 25% although I can’t remember the exact figure.

I walked through by Tranquility and Roots and the old rugby club yesterday. That area has a good covering of trees and hedges now, and along with the rewilding going on it must be a really wildlife rich area. I wonder if there is any thing the wildlife Trust could do to try and get this bit kept as green space?

Remember when Staffordshire Wildlife Trust said that the new Rugby Club planning application was a bad idea?

And then do you remember that 'Natural England' said that Stafford Borough Council should pay " strong regard" to what Staffordshire Wildlife Trust thought about that initial Rugby Club application?

And do you remember when the Rugby Club then submitted a minimally altered application, that didn't address any of the issues that Staffordshire Wildlife Trust had been against, but then was magically okayed by 'Natural England' so the application became a formality?

Because i remember.

Lord Stafford's sticky fingers.

The line of trees at the back of the Railway Station have already been felled.

Yes I saw while at the vegan fair on Saturday.

This council needs to be taken in front of the trading standards for misrepresenting themselves. Climate emergency is just a tick in a box so they can have a little private pleasure with themselves about how good they are :(

Filled in my opinion. It's a tick box exercise. When did these things ever change the outcome :(

I remember the plans for the houses at the old Police HQ site. I was actually in favour as it had lots of green spaces and would be able to walk through there. Look at the reality of what has been built.
Bit difficult in the dark

Do you have drone footage

Are the roads named after police dogs?

Hmmmmmm!. I see people fishing on that pool all the time. If you have fish in a pond you rarely get GCN as the fish eat them!. Possibly 'translocated' from elsewhere to create a stir?. I would be getting that pond newt eDNA tested before believing there were any in there....

There needs to be a general countrywide mobilisation of Greater Crested Newts (say 300,000 ?) to stop the planners and speculators in their tracks !

It doesn't happen I am afraid. Whether it is GCN, bats or badgers etc. it doesn't stop anything. It just costs someone a lot of money to get them re-located (which is the lesser of two evils I suppose).
